Sarah Myer is an Eisner-nominated comic artist, writer, and colorist whose work has been published by Macmillan/First Second Books, IDW Publishing, Dynamite Comics, VIZ Media, Good Trouble Comics, and Little Red Bird Press. Throughout their career, they’ve provided illustrations which have been approved for publication by powerhouse entertainment companies such as Nickelodeon, Capcom, Disney, and Sanrio. In addition to official IP work illustrating TMNT, Usagi Yojimbo, Darkwing Duck/Disney Afternoon, Hello Kitty, and Street Fighter characters, Sarah’s broad range extends to writing and illustrating nonfiction comics focusing on history, politics, memoir, and how-to instructional narrative.
A lifelong TMNT fan, they’re currently drawing interiors and covers for several issues of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Saturday Morning Adventures series from IDW Publishing. Sarah’s previous work on Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles includes colors for the first 4 issues of TMNT SMA and TMNT vs Street Fighter, and illustrations for covers for TMNT SMA (#3C, #1C Reboot, #7B) TMNT vs Street Fighter (#5B), and the TMNT Usagi Yojimbo: WhereWhen series (#1-5 Retail Incentive covers). Other recent work includes their graphic memoir, Monstrous: A Transracial Adoption Story which has earned five starred editorial reviews. Sarah taught as an adjunct professor of Foundation Studies at Savannah College of Art and Design for 3 years. When Sarah isn’t working on comics, they enjoy cosplaying, lifting weights, and cooking.
