Kevin Siembieda

Artist, writer, game designer, Kevin is best known as the creator of the Rifts® role-playing game and countless other pen and paper RPGs and sourcebooks. He is also the founder and publisher of Palladium Books®.

At age 24, the Detroit, Michigan, native launched his role-playing game company with three thousand dollars and a dream. Four years later, in 1985, Kevin was the first person to acquire a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles® license. The beloved Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles & Other Strangeness RPG was an instant hit and would go on to become one of the most beloved role-playing games of all time. In fact, it would inspire such creators as Ciro Nieli (2012 TMNT CGI series), artist/writer Sophie Campbell, artist Freddie E. Williams, filmmaker Rawson Marshall Thurber (Dodgeball, Red Notice), actor Joe Manganiello, and countless others.

Kevin is also the guy who introduced TMNT to licensing wizard Mark Freedman of Surge Licensing. Mark’s efforts would lead to the Ninja Turtles toys, animated series, movies, and an endless array of products that has delighted kids of all ages for generations around the world.

The science-fantasy Rifts® RPG is Kevin Siembieda’s most famous creation (once optioned by the Walt Disney Company), but he has written or co-created many hit games and 200+ role-playing game books for such series as Robotech, Macross II, Palladium Fantasy, Heroes Unlimited, Beyond the Supernatural, Dead Reign, Chaos Earth, and others.
