Blake Northcott is a writer, Twitter-er, and occasional Slayer of Vampires (only the ones that sparkle). In addition to writing ‘The Arena Mode’ trilogy and the comic book ‘Fathom’, Blake has been a contributor to Comic Book Resources, Geeks of Doom, Verily Magazine and CBS Man Cave. She has been featured on The Huffington Post’s ‘HuffPo Live’ show interviewing celebrities, including Sean Bean and Eva Longoria. She’s also been quoted on CNN, Entertainment Weekly, and IGN. In 2015 Blake was an ambassador at Millarworld – the comic book company responsible for ‘Kick-Ass’, ‘Wanted’ and ‘Kingsman: The Secret Service’.
Blake’s ‘Arena Mode Saga’ is the most funded science-fiction series in the history of Kickstarter, with over $110,000 USD in pledges for the trilogy of novels.
‘Arena Mode’ went on to become an international bestseller on Amazon Kindle in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom and Australia. Additionally, ‘Arena Mode’ was nominated for a BSFA (British Science Fiction Award) in 2013, and the series was added to the high school curriculum in the state of Florida in 2015.
